In his daily routine in Beppu, Matej's attention got caught by a strange shaped pipe hooked on a wall. Taking a closer look he realized the pipe was not connected to the roof anymore, but still was standing there with no other function that just existing. He loved this idea and make a plan to create a replica besides the real one as if he wanted to underline that in our everyday life art, beauty, irony can exist everywhere, but you have to notice it.

早速彼は制作をはじめました。まずは竹の編み方を習うところからです。幸いにも別府には素晴らしい先生がたくさん居ます。制作にも多くの職人や作家が、手伝いに来てくれました。

Once Matej defined the image of the artwork he wanted to experiment, he received help from the bamboo craftman community, professionals and students, for the production of the artwork.

この恊働作業は、お互いにとってとても刺激的なものになりました。
The making of the bamboo artwork was stimulating for both the contemporary artist and the craftman. The craftman discovered a new way of creating a bamboo artwork and Matej experienced working with this new material.

できあがった竹のパイプは、10月26(土)〜10月31(木)の６日間のみ、platform02にて展示されました。この作品はこれで完成ではなく、今後作家がスロベニアに持ち帰り、設置するのに適当な壁を探し、完成させる予定です。ですので、今回の展示のタイトルには"work in progress"（製作中）とつけられています。

To create this artwork, he experimented bamboo material and received great help from professional bamboo craftmans. The artwork experiment has been presented exceptionally for six days only (Oct 26〜Oct 31) at platform02.
